Today a very exciting design event is happening in New York City. Its the kick off day for many private design events revolving around the Architectural Digest Show which officially begins tomorrow March 21 – 24 th at Pier 94. 
All design roads lead to Pier 94 at Twelfth Avenue. As the economy begins to strengthen there’s a renewed and exciting vibe being felt by all that we haven’t seen for a while. However I will say that designers tend to be juiced up about what they do all the time. While in NYC, the weather might not be quite spring like yet but NYC is a magical place to be day or night. As creatives,most people in this business whether they’re an interior designer, kitchen designer, architect or craftsman tend to just keep creatively rolling knowing that better times are ahead and they just keep the creative juices flowing. I find that many people have actually had time to really recharge their internal creative batteries and revision and retool their business and the direction they want their lives to take. I’m looking forward to going into the show tomorrow to meet up with so many fun design friends and see all the new products and displays from many of the manufacturers like Poggenpohl, Miele, Subzero, Jenn-Air, Mr.Steam and many more that have kitchen products for me and my upcoming projects. The kitchen truly has evolved in to the LR of in most homes today. Yes its been termed the “heart of the home” but to me it’s truly the soul. As I think about the upcoming Blog Tour In New Orleans I’ve been invited to as part of KBIS ( The National Kitchen and Bath Show) Stay tuned for many new products that I’ll be bringing you in the upcoming days straight from the show floor. I’ll be finding NEW cabinetry, countertop, appliances, flooring ideas, hardware and so much more to get you excited about your new kitchen renovation projects.
